Democrats, Thaksin and the monarchy

We at PPT have been somewhat bemused by the fact that Thaksin’s Financial Times interview has not made the Bangkok Post or the Nation – or did we just miss it? This report in the Bangkok Post (22 April 2009: “Suthep: Thaksin interviews a worry”) seems to be as close as it gets: Democrat Party Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban says “former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s references to the country’s highest institutions in interviews with foreign news agencies is a cause of concern.” He means the monarchy.
