Historian Craig Reynolds has a short article in the Australian online magazine Inside Story. While there are a couple of small errors of fact – it was not the 2007 Constitution that allowed the dissolving of the Thai Rak Thai Party, but junta announcements applied retrospectively – and interpretation – we think he misunderstands the meaning of Handley’s title – this is a useful account of the cycles of political crisis in Thailand. His interpretation of the relationship between monarch and military is important.
