Solidarity with the Thai people – Indonesia

PPT recently received this notification of an action in Jakarta:

Dear Comrades,

Working People Association, Confederation Congress of Indonesia Union Alliance and Peoples Democratic Party initiate a coalition with other organization and will hold a solidarity protest for the people of Thailand on the 25th of May in front of the Thailand Embassy, Jakarta, Indonesia.

With the name of the coalition: Democracy and Humanity Solidarity Action for the People of Thailand.

General Theme: Democracy and Humanity for the People of Thailand

Demand:

a. Stop Military Repression

b. Stop Weapon Supply to Thailand

c. Call for a fresh election

d. The King of Thailand must take responsibility of the violence done by Abhisit Regime, that is in power with the blessing of the King.

e. Condemn the neglects by ASEAN, UN, and SBY-Budiono Regime

f. Condemn the rise of militarism in South East Asia

g. That the ASEAN Human Rights Commission’s responsibilities to act on the gross human rights violation in Thailand

The Solidarity protest will be held on 25 May from Bundaran HI to the Embassy of Thailand, Jakarta, Indonesia.
