More on the Sondhi case

30 07 2009

Friday in Bangkok should be fun. The Nation has had a series of reports, which we won’t link to as they are all easily tracked down at the Nation’s website.

Essentially, Sondhi Limthongkul has accused an “overseas” man of being behind the assassination plot, carried out by Lopburi-based special forces and DSI. The DSI denies this. PAD is calling for the police chief’s head. With the prime minister due to make an announcement on Friday about the investigation, Sondhi has chastised and belittled Abhisit Vejjajiva. Now deputy PM Suthep Thaugsuban is ducking for cover and has said he will be on leave on Friday.

In other words, Abhisit is being asked to take all responsibility. It will be interesting to see what eventuates.
