Couture and Communists

8 03 2010

For PPT readers who think historically, the document available below (also posted to the “General Political Background” sub-section of our “Commentary” section) will likely be of interest. It is a set of USG declassified documents about the King and Queen’s  visit to the U.S. in 1967. Of primary concern to the King and Queen was the prevention of Communism.  In contrast, the spending patterns of the royal family were seen as slightly contentious by their U.S. hosts. We will leave it to our readers to make the connections.
