More on autopsies of red shirt dead

7 09 2010

MCOT News reports that the families of nine persons who were killed during the 10 April 2010 crackdown by the military on red shirt protesters who had assembled at the Pan Fah bridge rally site are “seeking a court order for autopsies to be performed.” They were accompanied by a lawyer from the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD).

The UDD and family members called for “forensic experts from abroad to witness the autopsies of the nine bodies with their Thai counterparts.” Apparently, the nine bodies are “kept at temples.” The families believe that autopsies on these dead red shirts could yield critical evidence on the actions of state forces on 10 April.
