Queen’s health

22 09 2012

The Bangkok Post reports that the queen’s “committee of royal physicians” has issued another report on her health, yet again claiming that she is well, although, admitting that she must have been worse than she is now as her “general health has improved a great deal.” Readers will get the picture if they go back to the last report PPT posted where she was also described as exhibiting  “general conditions [that] have markedly improved.”

Back then, a month ago now, “could walk longer distances and eat normally without complications.” Now, we are told she “has a good appetite and is sleeping well. Her Majesty is able to walk and move around freely.” Back then, physical therapy was to continue and she was to stay off “work.” Now she will “continue … with physical therapy and ask Her Majesty to refrain from working for a while longer.” It seems nothing much has changed.Even if readers go back to the first post we had on this instance of misreporting of royal health, readers will note “that “Her Majesty the Queen’s health continues to improve” was the reported state of her illness, which most consider was a stroke, or in royalspeak, “a slight shortage of blood to the brain after feeling dizzy and stumbling at Siriraj Hospital on July 21.”

Two months later, it seems the reports haven’t changed much. Truth hasn’t been added to the royal therapy.
