Threatening on amnesty

1 11 2013

Readers may find the Khaosod account of Democrat Party boss Suthep Thaugsuban’s comments as he launched the Party’s “protest against the draft Amnesty Bill…”.

Amongst other things, Suthep told “a gathering of approximately 5,000 people” – 10,000 in the pro-opposition Bangkok Post – that “the government two choices; to dismiss the bill from the lower house for peaceful results, or to pursue the bill and face massive uprising from the Thai people.”Suthep

Then he added a warning:  “if any of the protesters were injured, the families of the Cabinet would be in danger.”

Presumably, in the interests of denying double standards, Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva will disown this threat?

After all, Abhisit is always banging on about “rule of law” and “terrorism.”
