More princely lese majeste fallout

A reader points out we missed perhaps two more lese majeste cases associated with the police purge/royal scandal.

As The Nation reports, the managing director of the Chao Phraya Express Boat Company and former Navy officer Parinya Rakwathin, has been accused of lese majeste. A couple of days ago he surrendered to police.

Parinya stands accused of having links to a “debt-collecting racket that allegedly cited the monarchy when carrying out its crimes.”

The other potential case involves “ice-making businesswoman Nuanrat Hengkitcharoenlert, 48, who was wanted for her alleged role in having her ice-making rival at a Pathum Thani wholesale market threatened by the monarchy-citing debt-collecting racket.”

Parinya may have already fronted a military court.

It is difficult to keep up with the royal avalanche of lese majeste accusations as they are being reported in a confusing series of harges and reports.
