Murder suspect still free

Khaosod reports that The Dictator, General Prayuth Chan-ocha spoke publicly near the “site of a bloody military crackdown on Redshirt protesters in 2010…”.

Prayuth is one of those responsible for the murder of red shirts when he commanded troops that shot down red shirt protesters in April and May 2010. Several court inquests have held the military responsible for the deaths of protesters without being able to identify the shooters.

PrayuthBe that as it may, Prayuth and other senior officers bear responsibility and should be before the courts. Because he is The Dictator and rules with an iron fist, so he is unlikely to ever face a court for these deaths.

Prayuth seems to have no shame or guilt, stating: “The government is doing everything to make the people happy…. As for this area, in the past there were problems with vendors and political rallies, but today, I will make it a place of smiles.”

Vendors and protesters are equated in a ways that suggest Prayuth has no moral compass. Or, should we say, he has a moral compass but it is issued by the military, and this allows murder, corruption and torture amongst other crimes.
