Hanging on

7 09 2015

After a recent shopping trip to a hospital store run by the palace, the king has again been more ill than usual, prompting a Royal Household Bureau announcement to state that he has more or less returned to normal.

This “normal” seems to mean that while the king continued to receive “antibiotics and saline intravenously, as well as supply the oxygen-air mix,” he no longer has the same level of “high fever and chills,” low “oxygen concentration in his blood,” high blood pressure and “an increased heart rate” with “laboured breathing,” and is not producing “a large amount of sputum…”.

The king is under constant medical observation and intensive medical treatment.
