Remember the brief bout of errant nonsense about “consultation” and so on when the old men and women were brought from their sofas and beds to draft a new constitution?
The spokesperson of the Constitution Drafting Committee (CDC) has advised that a first draft of the charter will materialize in late October.
Not bad! Less than a month. At least the drafters are assigning due significance to their bit of paper. But, and here’s the rub:
The CDC spokesperson, Amorn Wanichwiwatana, said … the contents would not be disclosed to the public until January of next year.
It seems that the CDC is working with a document that probably already exists. No need for the plebians to be involved or to know much about it.
