All about The Dictator II

15 08 2018

The Dictator has a high opinion of himself. He’s also shown that he loves the accoutrements of office that flow to him as self-appointed premier. He loves the armored car, the subservience, and the posterior polishing.

So when the Bangkok Post reports that Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha has told junta members that their royal-like convoys sailing through Bangkok traffic, with the way cleared for them, must move faster to take “as little a toll on the public as possible,” he’s responding to complaints. But, he’s really saying we in the junta deserve to be treated like little princes.

Such benefits befitting his huge ego and great status mean The Dictator craves the top position. So strong is his desire for such benefits that he’s spent billions of taxpayer money on trying to ensure he can stay on.

Yet despite constant campaigning he still sounds demur when asked about his cravings. He now says it will be another month before he will announce “whether he will take part in politics in the run-up to general elections next year…”. Yes, we know, this is delusional given his campaigning in recent months, but perhaps the face-maintaining general wants to be begged to “stand.” Perhaps he wants the tycoons, the generals and the senior bureaucrats to fully prostrate in before His Greatness and beseech him to be their “representative.”
