One more 112 arrest

The Bangkok Post reports that there’s been another lese majeste arrest. Police arrested “Pornchai Wimolsupawong, 38, a Mae Hong Hon resident, in front of a condominium building on Rattanathibet Road in Muang district on Wednesday evening…”.

Pornchai was wanted for several alleged offenses: one for an act in front of Maejo police station in Chiang Mai, another for having “spray-painted the fence outside the Royal Thai Police Office on Nov 18 last year, and [another for] allegedly … set[ting] fire to a picture of … the King and other material in front of the Criminal Court on Ratchadapisek Road on March 6…”. Pornchai “is also accused of similar offences in Yala”

He is claimed to have “posted photos and videos of his actions on Facebook, using the account name Mario Chinrxe.”

Pornchai has “denied all charges and refused to give a statement.”

He was transferred to Maejo police station.

Police are “preparing their case to support an application for arrest warrants for the alleged offences in Bangkok.”
