Mint, Clipped from Thai Newsroom

Using Matichon, Thai Newsroom reports that a Criminal Court in Bangkok has “issued an arrest warrant for Ms. Kanlaymon Sunanrat, or Mint, 29, a performing arts activist, and slapped a fine of 200,000 baht after she failed to show up for a hearing on charges under Criminal Code Section 112, also known as the lese majeste law, and the Computer Crimes Act…”.

Mint was on bail and failed to attend her “seventh detention hearing on Oct. 4 without giving any notification for not doing so.” This led to an arrest warrant being issued and a 200,000 baht fine.

Sources suggest that Mint may have fled the country, seeking political asylum in another country.
