Sitthisak Suwadee

112Sitthisak Suwadee was arrested in November 2014 and accused of several crimes including lese majeste. He was convicted on 20 March 2015, and sentenced by a military court to 11 years. This was halved for a guilty plea.

Along with the brothers Natthapol and Narong Suwadee, nephew of former Princess Srirasmi, was accused of being hired by businessman Nopporn Suppipat to coerce a money lender into reducing Nopporn’s debt from 120 million to 20 million baht. It was further alleged that the three abducted Nopporn’s money lender, Witthaya Panyathaweekool, in front of his house in Bangkok on 20 March 2014. The trio allegedly detained him overnight and forced him to reduce Nopporn’s debt, citing their connection to then-Princess Srirasmi.
