Her charges result from re-posting a Facebook post by monarchy critic Pavin Chachavalpongpun. Pavin’s post was said to have criticized the work of King Vajiralongkorn, with Ptachara sharing it on19 November 2020.

Patchara has denied the charges and will defend them when she appears on 19 May. She also refused to sign the register for hearing the charge.
