Chonthicha convicted on 112

The Bangkok Post reports that the Thanyaburi Provincial Court today sentenced Move Forward MP Chonthicha Jaengrew to three years in prison on an Article 112 charge, reduced to two years with no suspension.

Another charge of violating the emergency decree on public gatherings was dropped.

Chonthicha “immediately applied for and was then allowed release on bail to fight the case in the Appeal Court…”.

While she retains her MP status during the appeal, this verdict would appear to allow more “context” as the Constitutional Court works to dissolve Move Forward.
