Here’s one we missed a couple of weeks ago from a Royal World Thailand Facebook post:
His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand bestowed a royal command on changing the spelling of his noble consort’s name, The Royal Noble Consort Sineenat Bilaskalayani to be written as “Chaokhun Phra Sineenatha Bilasakalayani.” The name is defined in Thai as a gracious supporter lady. How come it is considered a big issue right after it was announced?
A question is raised by netizens immediately whether there is a hint or signal for a chance of her official return to the royal court after having been faded out of ‘royal sight.’ Due to her disappearance, a new star was born, Dame Orn-anong Piyanatvajirapath who carried out duties in the name of The King. Netizens hence speculate if this new lady would be somehow elevated a rank similarly, or even greater than Sineenatha.
Sineenatha (a.k.a. “Koi”) is considered still active in the life cycle of The King as “Chaokhun Phra” (Thai version for the Royal Noble Consort) despite being officially faded out from media. Fans therefore wait to see a big scene and lovely moment between The King and his chief concubine again.
Both Sineenatha and Orn-anong were once compared to each other by netizens on their looks and appearances, along with their fit for the role. Sineenatha is still considered more superior for having been in the royal court for more than a decade. As she has escorted The King ever since he ascended to the throne, she is thus more experienced with her large number of duties she obtains and writes on her curriculum vitae.
Chaokhun Phra is regarded The King’s most beloved and favourite concubine. Though royal supporters dislike when she made her public appearance, which lead them being displeased for The King’s ‘polygamy’ reputation, what they could do best is just to ignore the news and focus only The King and his Queen Consort. However, royalists are being kept an eye on whether they will still support the Monarch if he finally brings his mistress back to the public engagements in coming times.”
And, in case readers missed it, from the same Facebook page, the grandness of royal family members continues to be be reinforced by supplicant “universities”:
Their Majesties King Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida of Thailand presided over the graduation ceremony of Thammasat University’s academic year 2022-2023.
The King conferred an honorary doctorate degree in Fashion Design to Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari following the university council’s agreement from her public duties in preserving and supporting Thai contemporary handicraft and textiles to be recognised internationally, held at Thammasat University Rangsit Campus in Pathum Thani Province, Kingdom of Thailand.
