Thai Lawyers fro Human Rights reports that a 16th bail request from Siraphop Phumphuengphut’s lawyers was rejected on 19 March 2025 by the Court of Appeals.
He’s imprisoned for violation of Article 112, which has been on appeal since 25 March 2024.
He began a hunger strike on 21 February 2025. Under treatment at Thammasat University Hospital, Siraphop agreed to receive liquid food and minerals.
The court ruled that there is reason to believe that the defendant will flee.
It is now almost a year that he has been in custody.
