Forcing kids into exile

16 10 2025

Thai Lawyers for Human Rights has a report worth reading about juvenile lese majeste.

Benjamaporn Nivas: From Vancouver to Bangkok” is the tale of Benjamaporn or Ploy, who was forced to flee into exile in Vancouver, with her “hope is not yet extinguished.”

From TLHR

Ploy was “an activist with the Bad Students group, advocating on the student hairstyle issue before becoming involved with the Thalu Wang group…”

She fled to Canada after being “prosecuted in a total of 8 cases stemming from political protests and expression, all of which occurred when she was under 18 years old. Two of these are Section 112 (Lèse-majesté) cases regarding a poll conducted with the Thalu Wang group.”

This is what ultra-royalists do and ultra-royalist governments support this persecution.
