The military leads

In a new post at Uglytruth-Thailand, the first for some time, lese majeste exile Ji Ungpakorn provides a useful analysis of recent events. In “Thai-Cambodian conflict shows who really runs the Thai government” he begins:

The idiotic military clashes between Thailand and Cambodia have exposed the fact that the military still control power in Thailand, despite claims that Thailand has a “civilian democratic government”. The clashes may be idiotic, but they have had deadly consequences for the civilians and low-ranking soldiers caught in the conflict. So far more than a dozen civilians have been killed on both sides of the border.
