Look at posterior polishing in the Bangkok Post and The Nation and it is clear that the two meekly royalist outlets are merely reproducing the words provided by the palace. Okay, we know they more or less have to “report” royal drivel, and we guess that pasting in palace stories is safest.

Did anyone seriously expect that the sailing boat taking the queen about would not win? Of course not. It is an event arranged by palace, Navy, and other state grovelers. We know that most people are dismissive of royal propaganda, but it has a role in supporting the ultra-royalists looking for ways to praise and polish royal butt.
